Integrated solution included using subsea delivery of multiphase pump as alternative to ESP coupled with a record-breaking 18-mile subsea tie-back.

Subsea Integration Alliance delivers integrated solution for TAQA to the Otter Field in the North Sea. Coupled with the long-distance tieback, the subsea boosting technology provided production security for the late-life asset.

Background
TAQA approached Subsea Integration Alliance for a solution that would provide production security for a late-life asset, the Otter Field, resulting in installation of the longest subsea boosting tieback in the UK North Sea (18 miles [30 km]). The tieback uses a multiphase pump as an alternative to Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) for enhanced production. Boosting technology will enable TAQA to finish production on the Eider platform on schedule and keep Otter Field in production.
